LECTURE "Aldosterone in essential and endocrine hypertension"

Aldosterone in essential and endocrine hypertension

Activation of aldosteron  and/or MR receptors may  markedly contribute to patophysiology of increased blood pressure. MR blockade is very effective mode of therapy not only in primary aldosteronism, but also in essential hypertension.  Primary aldosteronism is common form of secondary hypertension with prevalence around 5% in hypertensive population.
