The metabolomics combines strategies from analytical chemistry, biochemistry, bioinformatics, and statistical analysis to measure the thousands of metabolites in a samples. We use metabolomics to explain how metabolites influence organ functions, immune functions, nutrient sensing, and liver and adipose tissue physiology. We offer Bc/Mgr/Ing/PhD projects focused on type 2 diabetes, obesity, various types of cancer and cachexia within the fields of biology, chemistry, and bioinformatics.
