Development of new diagnostic techniques of epilepsy

The main aim of this research is to develop new diagnostic techniques to increase the information yield of presurgical examination and to improve the outcome of epilepsy surgery.

Together with Centre for Epilepsy Motol and School of Electrical Engineering we develop new methods and techniques of digital signal processing of intracranial recordings.  We focus on detection and analysis of interictal epileptiform discharge, high-frequency oscillations and identification of seizure onset areas. Clinical epileptologists, neurophysiologists and mathematicians involved in this projects are members of Intracranial Signal Analysis Research Group (ISARG) Prague.
