Proteomic laboratory

Laboratory is equipped for modern proteomic analysis: 1D and 2D electrophoresis including scanners and adequate software for data analysis of gels; nLC coupled to high-resolution mass spectrometry (Q-TOF) and necessary software for proteins analysis (including database and database search software).

Equipment:

  • “Flat” gel electrophoresis: SDS-PAGE, IEF, 2D; documentation of gels (scanners Pharos FX and GS 800 densitometer) (BioRad)
  • MaXis - high-resolution tandem mass spectrometry (Q-TOF) (Bruker Daltonics) mass accuracy at least 1 ppm and mass resolution 40.000 FWHM
  • EASY-nLC - nanoLC system
  • Proteomic software (Proteinscape, Mascot) + proteomic databases

Executed proteomic analysis:

  • Proteomic analysis of tissue (using 1D and 2D electrophoresis in connection to nanoLC and MS)
  • Targeted analysis of proteins/peptides (spots etc.)
  • Determination of specific proteins/peptides in the samples (tissues etc.) including determination of changes in their relative quantity
  • Analysis of posttranslational modification of proteins/peptides (e.g. glycation, deamidation etc.)
