TRPV1, TRPV3 and TRPA1 are ion channels acting as polymodal sensors for multiple noxious stimuli, including temperature, vanilloids, various pungent compounds and acidic solutions. We aim to identify molecular determinants and domain interactions that underlie the conformational transitions among resting, open and inactivated (sensitized or desensitized) states of these channels.
