Aleš Balík, Ph.D.

Ales Balik was born in 1977. He received his RNDr. degree in 2002 and Ph.D in 2005 from the Charles University in Prague. He spent a part of his doctoral stay at the Rowett Research Institute in Aberdeen, Scotland, participated in the research of Molecular Neuroendocrinology Group. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge (Dr. I. Greger). He currently works as a senior scientist at the Department of Cellular neurophysiology, Institute of Physiology, CAS, and at the Biotechnology and Biomedicine Centre of the Academy of Sciences and Charles University (BIOCEV) in Vestec.
